KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 1 (Bernama) -- KPJ Healthcare Bhd has entered into a strategic partnership with NetSfere, a global provider of secure enterprise messaging and collaboration solutions, to roll out a confidential communication platform across its network of 30 hospitals nationwide.
Under the collaboration, NetSfere will provide KPJ Healthcare with a secure, legally compliant, and centrally managed communication platform designed to protect sensitive information while enabling seamless collaboration among healthcare professionals.
In a media statement today, Malaysia’s largest private healthcare provider said the partnership includes end-to-end encryption, secure voice and video calls, file sharing, as well as advanced IT administrative controls to support compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and healthcare industry standards.
“The platform, hosted via Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Malaysia, also offers real-time crisis alerts, centralised IT governance, and full auditability.
“It also features Net-C, an artificial intelligence (AI) assistant enabling doctors and hospital staff to securely access workflows and information in real time, thereby boosting productivity,” said the statement.
In the same statement, KPJ Healthcare President and Managing Director Chin Keat Chyuan said the partnership strengthens the way its staff connect and collaborate while safeguarding the trust patients place in them.
“It provides our teams with a secure platform to communicate and collaborate while ensuring the highest data privacy standards. By strengthening these capabilities across our network, we are building a digital foundation that will enable safer and smarter care as we advance the KPJ Health System,” he said.
NetSfere Chief Executive Officer and President Anurag Lai said they were thrilled to bring NetSfere to all 30 KPJ hospitals, offering patients and staff the assurance that their information is protected.
“Our platform is designed to surpass international benchmarks for security, compliance, and communication excellence. In today’s healthcare environment, IT governance that safeguards information is not just a technology choice but a clinical necessity,” he said.
The partnership, already piloted at KPJ Pasir Gudang Specialist Hospital, Johor Specialist Hospital, and Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital, has shown positive early reception with clear improvements in secure clinical communication.
With more than 2,900 user licences to be distributed across the group, NetSfere is expected to support doctors, nurses, clinical teams, and hospital management in delivering more efficient and safer care.
KPJ Healthcare said the collaboration underscores its commitment to advancing innovation under the KPJ Health System, which integrates clinical, educational, and research aspects to deliver greater value and outcomes for patients while strengthening Malaysia’s private healthcare landscape.
