PERKESO ENABLES 36,330 KELANTAN JOB SEEKERS SECURE EMPLOYMENT VIA MYFUTUREJOBS SINCE 2022

KOTA BHARU, Oct 11 (Bernama) -- Initiatives by the Social Security Organisation (PERKESO) have enabled 36,330 out of 161,000 Kelantan job seekers to secure permanent or temporary employment since 2022, driving a positive trend in the local labour market.

PERKESO Employment Insurance System Office head Datuk Asri Ab Rahman said the achievement demonstrates the agency’s effectiveness in providing an efficient job-matching platform.

“MYFutureJobs portal not only connects employers and job seekers but also provides them with guidance and social protection,” he told reporters after the MYFutureJobs Career Carnival here today.

He said 21 employers from various sectors took part in the carnival, offering more than 5,300 vacancies in services, manufacturing, plantation, logistics, as well as the public and security sectors.

Among the major participating employers were Air Kelantan Sdn Bhd, Pos Malaysia Berhad, Liquid Palm Edible Sdn Bhd, Top Glove Corporation Berhad, and the Malaysian Army, offering permanent and temporary positions with competitive salary packages.

Asri stated that dentists were among the highest-paid roles, with salaries ranging from RM10,000 to RM12,999, alongside various other professional, technical, and support positions.

“Through PERKESO’S Lindung Anok Kelate initiative, we wish to emphasise that every citizen, regardless of background or type of occupation, deserves protection, guidance, and opportunities to advance in their careers,” he said.

The event featured contributions from the PERKESO-SSM Cakna Prihatin programme, a strategic collaboration between the social security organisation and Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM).

Meanwhile, he added that twenty recipients from Kelantan received entrepreneurial equipment assistance and social protection under the LINDUNG Kendiri initiative through corporate zakat (tithe) and corporate social responsibility contributions amounting to RM148,783.90.
