SUBANG, Oct 28 (Bernama) -- The Sultan of Brunei, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, departed Kuala Lumpur today after attending the 47th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits.
The aircraft carrying His Majesty took off at 5.30pm after a red carpet send-off, which included a guard of honour mounted by the First Battalion of the Royal Ranger Regiment (Ceremonial) led by Capt Mohd Aznizam Azmin.
Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir was present at the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) Base here to bid farewell to His Majesty and his delegation.
The Sultan has participated in a series of high level meetings with fellow ASEAN leaders and external dialogue partners to discuss key regional and global issues, reaffirming Brunei’s commitment to strengthen ASEAN’s unity and cooperation.
The three-day regional meeting, which ended today was held under Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship 2025 themed “Inclusivity and Sustainability”.
