KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 1 (Bernama) -- The Armed Forces Fund Board (LTAT) is undergoing a comprehensive digital transformation to boost operational efficiency and enhance the contributor experience with the launch of its new LTAT Contribution Management System (LCMS).
LTAT chief executive Mohammad Ashraf Md Radzi said the integrated system, which was rolled out in July, manages the entire contributor lifecycle, from registration and deposits to dividend calculations and withdrawals automatically, incorporating AI-driven document verification and real-time updates.
He said the LCMS represents a historic milestone, not merely as a system but as a new, automated, efficient, and transparent platform for managing contributions.
“With smart analytics, integration with the Ministry of Defence, the Armed Forces Payroll Department (UGAT), Affin, and MyDigitalID, along with advanced security features, the LCMS drives LTAT toward full digital operations. This demonstrates that LTAT is not only transforming for the present but is fully prepared for its contributors’ digital future,” he said in a statement today.
Mohammad Ashraf said LTAT is transitioning towards a Responsible GLIC investment model that prioritises not only financial returns but also social value and the well-being of the defence community.
Through its financial literacy programme, which has reached over 40,000 Armed Forces personnel since 2023, Mohammad Ashraf said LTAT remains committed to ensuring contributors understand their savings and fully benefit from the advantages offered.
“LTAT is not merely a savings fund, but a pillar of social support for the nation’s heroes. We want every contributor to know that behind every ringgit they invest stands an institution steadfastly dedicated to securing their future,” he said.
In addition, LTAT recently held the Jelajah Wira LTAT 2025: Northern Edition from Oct 11 to 25, covering Kedah, Perlis, Penang, and Perak. The tour brought together over 6,500 Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) personnel and their families from 35 military camps across various services, making it one of LTAT’s largest engagement initiatives to date.
The edition, officiated by Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin at the Airport Camp in Sungai Petani, Kedah, also marked the launch of several key initiatives, including the Affin Perkasa Financial Solution, Royale Warisan Loyalty Programme, LTAT Hero Entrepreneur Empowerment Programme, MADANI Adopt-a-School initiative, and MADANI Care Camp.
In his speech, Mohamed Khaled expressed his appreciation to LTAT for its unwavering commitment to prioritising the welfare of MAF personnel, in line with the aspirations of the MADANI Economy and the GEAR-UP Raise the Floor initiative, which emphasise inclusive economic growth and the well-being of the people.
The northern edition of Jelajah Wira LTAT featured a wide range of activities and interactive sessions, including financial literacy workshops, a motivational forum for MAF veterans, service booths, and exhibitions by strategic partners, serving as a platform for learning, empowerment, and inspiration for MAF personnel and their families.
Mohammad Ashraf said the initiatives launched reflect the cohesion and synergy within the LTAT group of companies, in line with its vision to strengthen the social well-being ecosystem for MAF personnel across financial, educational, health, and community dimensions.
“LTAT extends its heartfelt appreciation to the Ministry of Defence and the leadership of the MAF for their unwavering support of the Jelajah Wira LTAT initiative,” he said.
In addition, Mohammad Ashraf said the inaugural LTAT Hero Entrepreneur Empowerment Programme achieved remarkable success, with its 29 Armed Forces veteran participants recording an average income increase of 216 per cent.
The programme has now progressed to its second phase, involving over 35 new participants.
“This programme is more than just entrepreneurship training, but a transformative journey. Participants are trained, mentored, and instilled with a renewed spirit of independence as they transition into life after retirement,” he added.
