UKHUWAH, SINGGAH MADANI PROGRAMMES TO BE INTENSIFIED WITH CORPORATE COLLABORATION

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 16 (Bernama) -- Akademi Kenegaraan Malaysia (AKM) will intensify the implementation of the Ukhuwah MADANI and Singgah MADANI programmes by involving the corporate sector, including Petronas, to broaden the impact of public wellbeing.

AKM Director-General Datuk Dr Roslan Hussin said several major companies, such as Mydin, had collaborated last year by offering special prices ahead of Hari Raya, and this year, the partnership is expected to expand significantly with Petronas joining the initiative.

“Insya-Allah, a major entity like Petronas will join us in driving the Ukhuwah MADANI and Singgah MADANI programmes, and I believe corporate sector support will provide a significant positive impact on the community.

“These companies create job opportunities for the public and return a portion of their earnings to society,” he said when appearing as a guest on Bernama TV’s Ruang Bicara programme tonight.

Roslan expressed confidence that the collaboration among the government, the community and the corporate sector for these programmes would create a new landscape in which all parties play a role in contributing to the people's welfare.

On the Ukhuwah MADANI programme, he said it employs an in situ approach, reaching out directly to community locations to strengthen the spirit of patriotism, particularly in rural areas.

On the Singgah MADANI programme, he said it involves leaders visiting focal points such as Ramadan bazaars and business premises to engage with the community.
