PUTRAJAYA, April 18 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today took time to attend the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration hosted by the Ministry of Finance (MOF) at its headquarters.
Anwar, who is also the Finance Minister, and his wife Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail arrived at the MOF grounds at around 3 pm and spent about an hour and a half at the event.
Also present were Finance Minister II Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan, Deputy Finance Minister Lim Hui Ying and Treasury Secretary-General Datuk Johan Mahmood Merican.
Anwar also mingled with MOF staff and those from its agencies who attended the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration before departing the event.
Approximately 5,000 ministry staff and guests were treated to a variety of festive dishes, including lemang, ketupat, curry noodles, grilled squid and cendol.
