KLSICCI EMPOWERS INDIAN ENTREPRENEURS THROUGH DIGITAL APPROACH

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 27 (Bernama) -- The Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KLSICCI) is committed to driving the transformation of local Indian entrepreneurs through digital empowerment.

Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo said KLSICCI, an organisation established in 1928 with more than 1,000 direct members and 30,000 indirect members, had played a vital role in strengthening micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

“KLSICCI has set a vision for 2026 to embark on a transformational journey towards empowering, facilitating, upscaling, modernising, digitalising, and upskilling Indian entrepreneurs.

“This will certainly help create a vibrant and dynamic business community, and we are glad that KLSICCI is ready to help our Indian entrepreneurs evolve in this Artificial Intelligence (AI) era,” he said in a speech at the 2025 KLSICCI Deepavali Open House here this evening.

Gobind’s speech was read by his political secretary, Michelle Ng Mei Sze, who is also the Subang Jaya state assemblyman.

Gobind said the government remained committed to ensuring that all businesses could thrive in the digital economy through initiatives such as the Digital Adoption Grant, the National Artificial Intelligence Centre of Excellence and the AI for Rakyat programme, in addition to the target of developing 900 AI start-ups and 30,000 AI talents by 2026.

He said the government’s collaboration with business chambers such as KLSICCI enabled the expansion of digital access through digital training, e-commerce platforms, cybersecurity awareness and artificial intelligence (AI)-based solutions.
