KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 30 (Bernama) -- Shell Malaysia has announced the first batch of winners for its nationwide free fuel campaign, which will reward a total of 92 Malaysians with either one year or three years’ worth of free fuel.
The campaign, held in collaboration with Shell Lubricants, recognises users of Shell Helix and Shell Advance products, with the first group of grand prize winners revealed at a prize-giving ceremony held here on Monday.
Shell Mobility and Convenience Malaysia General Manager Seow Lee Ming said the campaign reflects Shell’s commitment to rewarding customers through accessible and engaging platforms such as the Shell App.
“At Shell, we believe in giving Malaysians more rewards in every journey. The Shell App plays an important role in exciting campaigns like this one, making the experience simple, rewarding and accessible to all,” she said in a statement.
Seow added that the campaign highlights Shell’s role beyond fuel retailing, noting that the excitement among winners reflects the value of such initiatives to customers.
One of the winners, Mohd Khairussyukri, 29, a technician from Selangor, said he was surprised to be selected after scanning his Shell App following a routine motorcycle oil change.
“I never imagined I would be selected. I scanned my Shell App after buying my usual oil change and suddenly received the call. It feels great to be rewarded for something I already use to take care of my motorcycle,” he said.
Another winner, Izzah Mohammad, 35, an event planner from Kuala Lumpur, said the unexpected news brought excitement to her otherwise ordinary week.
“This contest is incredibly simple to join, and the prizes are unbelievable. I am already telling my family and friends to participate as well,” she said.
Shell Malaysia encouraged Malaysians to participate in the campaign by downloading the Shell App and purchasing selected Shell Helix or Shell Advance lubricants for a chance to win upcoming prizes.
