JMU 2026 TO LAUNCH 10-ZONE NATIONWIDE ROADSHOW STARTING JAN 29

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 15 (Bernama) -- The Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) will launch the Karnival Jom Masuk Universiti 2026 (JMU 2026), a nationwide higher education outreach programme, with a 10-zone roadshow across Malaysia from Jan 29 to April 26.

In a statement today, MOHE said the programme aims to provide students and parents with direct guidance on admission to institutions of higher learning (IPT), including programme selection, sponsorship opportunities and available financial assistance.

Themed DreamX: Inspiring Your Next Step, JMU 2026 is a MOHE initiative designed to equip students with comprehensive information on entry pathways to higher education, while encouraging them to continue their studies at a higher level.

“JMU 2026 also serves as a platform to promote educational programmes offered by IPTs under MOHE, encompassing public universities, polytechnics, community colleges, private higher education institutions, as well as the participation of the MARA Higher Education Division,” the statement said.

According to MOHE, the carnival targets students sitting for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM), matriculation, foundation, Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM), as well as diploma or equivalent qualifications.

Throughout the roadshow, a wide range of activities will be offered, including exhibitions, UPUOnline consultation sessions, sponsorship, scholarship and education loan consultations, as well as advisory services on higher education financial aid.

Other highlights include visits to IPT booths, lucky draws, campus tours, student performances, alumni engagement activities, interactive spaces, entrepreneurship activities and live social media streaming.

MOHE also invited students, parents, guardians, teachers, counsellors and members of the public to attend and make full use of the opportunities available during the JMU 2026 roadshow.
