KANGAR, March 2 (Bernama) -- Kuching City FC managed to secure a slim 1-0 victory over Imigresen FC thanks to a penalty late in tonight’s 2025/2026 Super League match at Tuanku Syed Putra here.
Imigresen FC managed to display a high level of discipline in the back, with their defence containing the repeated attacks by the visitors, especially Joao Pedro Da Silva Freitas.
Imigresen FC goalkeeper Muhammad Zarif Irfan Hashimuddin had a busy night, having to make several saves to deny Kuching City FC the goal they were so desperately looking for.
As the match was headed to a draw, referee Afdzal Hilmi Zulkiflee awarded a penalty to Kuching City FC after an incident in the penalty box, and Wanja Ronald Ngah calmly stepped up and slotted in the ball for the win.
Including tonight’s win, Kuching City FC has notched up ten victories and is currently fourth with 34 points with one match in hand, two points behind second-placed Selangor FC and Kuala Lumpur FC, both with 36 points.
