JASIN, Oct 19 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim spent nearly an hour mingling with visitors at the Melaka edition of the MADANI Rakyat Programme (PMR) 2024 held at Merlimau Polytechnic here today.
Anwar, who arrived at about 11.30 am, was accompanied by Defence Minister Datuk Seri Khaled Nordin, Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh, Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar and Melaka State Secretary Datuk Azhar Arshad.
After officiating the programme, the Prime Minister witnessed the exchange of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for strategic collaboration in developing the Perwira SuperApp at the Ministry of Defence (Mindef) pavilion.
Signing the MoU were Defence Ministry secretary-general Datuk Lokman Hakim Ali and Pernama Network Sdn Bhd chairman Datuk Omar Shariff Mydeen.
Perwira SuperApp is an official application developed for the Defence Ministry community, including military personnel, veterans, civil servants, reservists and their family members.
The application serves as a one-stop digital hub offering access to government, financial, education, health and lifestyle services.
Anwar also took time to watch a tug-of-war contest at the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) Sports Zone before joining the lively Kenduri Rakyat (people’s feast) event at the Selera Melaka booth.
