MOSCOW, Oct 22 (Bernama-Sputnik/RIA Novosti) -- The plane of Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese had to make an emergency landing in the United States after a crew member got injured on board the aircraft, Sputnik/RIA Novosti reported, citing the Australian broadcaster SBS.
Albanese was on his way back to Australia following a meeting with US President Donald Trump.
The prime minister’s plane made an emergency landing in St Louis, Missouri, on Tuesday evening local time, SBS said, adding that there had been an incident involving a Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) crew member on board.
The crew member was injured by an item that fell from an overhead locker, SBS specified, adding that the person in question could have a concussion and was taken to a hospital in St Louis.
Albanese’s plane is expected to resume its flight to Australia after refuelling.
