SEREMBAN, Oct 26 (Bernama) -- Negeri Sembilan FC (NSFC) head coach Mohd Nidzam Jamil praised the performance shown by his men after defeating PDRM FC at home last night, but admitted that there were still many small aspects that needed to be improved.

He said the victory was important to restore the team's morale after losing to Selangor FC in the first quarter-final of the FA Cup last week, thus making their home ground a 'special stronghold' for NSFC.

"In terms of objectives, yes, we are very happy to get three points at home, but there are some things, such as small details that need to be improved, in football, there is a certain time and timing, if you press too early, there must be an effect.

"So, we need to improve these small things, whether in terms of commitment and how we deal with a very good team like PDRM FC," he told reporters after the match which saw NSFC defeat Sang Saka Biru 2-0 at the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium, here last night.

He also praised the performance highlighted by import player Joseph Esso after scoring the opening goal as well as the hard work of the rest of the team which showed a significant improvement compared to the match against Selangor FC.

Meanwhile, Mohd Nidzam said several key players had yet to recover from injuries and each was expected to take between one to two weeks to fully recover.

Asked about the second leg against Selangor FC in the FA Cup quarter-finals will come, he admitted that he faces a difficult task but believes his men can rise with positive spirit.

NSFC is currently fifth in the Super League with 11 points while PDRM FC is eighth with six points.
