KUANTAN, Nov 7 (Bernama) -- The Pahang government is expanding its 2025 Tunas Makmur Programme by providing school supplies worth RM1.05 million to 21,026 students sitting for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said the stationery sets will be distributed beginning next week by the Pahang Social  Action Council (MTSP).

He said the distribution will be carried out in collaboration with the State Education Department and relevant agencies to ensure the aid is delivered efficiently and reaches all eligible recipients across the state.

Wan Rosdy said SPM students had earlier received a Student Discount Card offering discounts of up to 30 per cent, free reference and exercise books to help with exam preparation, and school supplies for Form Five students from hardcore poor families.

“These initiatives reflect the state government’s concern and continued commitment to education and the academic success of Pahang’s students,” he said in a statement today.

He added that with continued commitment and cooperation from all parties, particularly in advancing education, Pahang is set to move forward as a progressive and intellectually driven state.
