KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 7 (Bernama) -- Police have completed the investigation paper relating to a woman known as "Inspector Sheila" who is suspected of obstructing police personnel conducting a check on a foreign man in Jalan Ipoh on Tuesday here.
Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Fadil Marsus said the investigation paper would be handed to the deputy prosecutor’s office soon.
"We have completed the investigation and the investigation paper will be referred to the deputy public prosecutor for suggested charges,” he told reporters after a programme here today.
The woman is being investigated after a video uploaded by 'Inspector Sheila’ went viral on social media, where she claimed that police officers had threatened a Pakistani driver during the incident on Tuesday.
During the incident, she accused the officers on duty of not knowing the law, ridiculed their actions and claimed they had threatened the foreign driver.
The case is being investigated under Section 186 of the Penal Code for obstructing a civil servant from discharging their duties as well as Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act 1955.
