SHAH ALAM, Nov 9 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will hold a briefing with the Cabinet on Tuesday to discuss a Cabinet reshuffle, Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) president Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu said.
The Prime Minister is also expected to provide an explanation about the resignation of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick at the briefing.
"I heard through the news (about Ewon’s resignation), but this Tuesday there is a Cabinet meeting and we will listen to an explanation by the Prime Minister.
"We will also discuss it (the Cabinet reshuffle) on Tuesday, so I don’t want to comment anything about the matter,” he said when met at the wind up session of the 2025 Amanah National Convention here today.
When asked, he also said that Ewon’s resignation would not have any effect on Pakatan Harapan in the upcoming 17th Sabah state election.
Ewon announced his resignation yesterday, citing his principles and stand relating to Sabah’s entitlement to 40 per cent of federal revenue collected from the state.
