KUCHING, Nov 21 (Bernama) -- Bintulu Port Holdings Bhd (BPHB) today reaffirmed its commitment to integrity and good governance as its Board of Directors formally signed the ‘Ikrar Bebas Rasuah’ (IBR) or Corruption-Free Pledge.
The signing, led by BPHB chairman Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, reflected the group’s top-level commitment to upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct, transparency, and zero tolerance for corruption across its operations, the company said in a statement issued yesterday.
"Members of the Board of Directors also signed the pledge, demonstrating collective responsibility and unified support for strengthening integrity across the group," the statement said.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Sarawak director Datuk Hasbillah Mohamad Salleh, underscoring the commission’s support and continued collaboration with the company in advancing governance and anti-corruption initiatives. Also present were members of BPHB’s leadership team and representatives from MACC.
BPHB said the signing of the IBR strengthens the group’s alignment with national anti-corruption efforts and reinforces its long-term commitment to transparency, accountability, and ethical corporate governance.
