MACHAP–AYER HITAM STRETCH ON NSE SET FOR MAJOR UPGRADE UNDER 13MP - ONN HAFIZ

JOHOR BAHRU, Nov 27 (Bernama) -- The widening of the North-South Expressway (NSE) for the Yong Peng Utara–Senai Utara route (Phase 4: Machap–Ayer Hitam) is among the new projects under the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP), with an allocation of RM210 million, says Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi.

In a Facebook post today, he expressed his appreciation to Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi and the Ministry of Works (KKR) for their concern and continued commitment to strengthening infrastructure development in the state.

“The meeting also opened more room for closer strategic cooperation between the Federal Government and the state government, particularly in implementing Federal road upgrading and maintenance projects, developing key infrastructure and improving basic facilities that provide direct benefits to more than four million Johoreans.

“In addition, KKR also conveyed its readiness to continue supporting the state’s development agenda, including efforts to upgrade roads, strengthen critical asset maintenance and ensure smooth connectivity and user safety throughout the state,” he said.

The meeting took place on Tuesday at the KKR office in Kuala Lumpur.

Onn Hafiz said such close cooperation also formed an important foundation for the implementation of structured, swift and high-impact projects so that every ringgit spent truly benefited the people.

“May all the commitments and outcomes of this discussion be translated into efficient and effective action for the prosperity and well-being of the Johor people. Insya-Allah,” he said.
