KOTA KINABALU, Dec 3 (Bernama) -- The newly formed Sabah Cabinet is committed to working in close cooperation to drive the state’s prosperity and progress over the next five years, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.

He said the state government also has the strong capacity to deliver on this commitment, based on its achievements during the previous term and the holistic, inclusive and comprehensive Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) 2.0 development plan, which will be launched next year.

Hajiji also emphasised the need to strengthen the state administration to ensure continued political stability and sustained development.

“With this new administration, the Cabinet members and I will reinforce our commitment to maintaining stability and supporting a political agenda anchored on unity and development.

“I am also the Chief Minister for all, serving the people of Sabah fairly and without prejudice towards background, ethnicity or religion,” he said in a statement after chairing the first state Cabinet meeting at Menara Kinabalu here today.

In the statement, he also announced the portfolios of the 17 assistant ministers who were sworn in before Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Musa Aman at Istana Seri Kinabalu here yesterday.
