KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 23 (Bernama) -- Selangor FC are still looking for their first win of the season in the 2025/26 Asian Football Confederation Champions League 2 (ACL2) tournament after losing to Persib Bandung 0-2 today.
This was also the third consecutive defeat for the Red Giants in ACL 2 this season.
In the action held at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium, West Java, the hosts started by making several unsuccessful attempts to penetrate Selangor’s defence.
However, in the 29th minute, Persib Bandung netted their first goal via Adam Alis who scored from a pass from Marc Klok.
Selangor almost managed to equalise in the 41st minute but Chrigor Moraes' shot was saved by Teja Paku Alam.
Selangor again came close to breaking the deadlock in the 51st minute but Alvin Fortes' shot hit the crossbar.
In the 66th minute, Selangor defender Harith Haiqal Adam Afkar in his haste committed a foul on an opposing player in the penalty box, which saw the referee award a penalty which was converted by Andrew Jung.
Selangor then tried to come back but failed to produce any goals until the final whistle.
The result saw Selangor at the bottom of Group G with no points after three matches.
