GEORGE TOWN, Nov 19 (Bernama) -- The Raja Muda of Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, today continued the race from Penang to Pulau Langkawi in the 35th Raja Muda Selangor International Regatta (RMSIR).
Tengku Amir, together with the crew of the yacht Maduzi began the race at about 12.30 pm, along with his consort, Datin Paduka Seri Afzaa Fadini Abdul Aziz.
Earlier, Tengku Amir completed all the RMSIR races - from Port Klang to Pulau Pangkor, from Pulau Pangkor to Penang and the inshore race around Penang Island.
The RMSIR, which runs for nine days from Nov 14 to 22, is participated by 23 teams, and will continue the race to Langkawi today.
The RMSIR, which was first organised in 1990, is the second-oldest yachting championship in Asia and was the brainchild of the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, during his time as the Raja Muda of Selangor.
