RIYADH’S INSURANCE CONFERENCE ATTRACTS NEARLY 9,000 GLOBAL VISITORS

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 13 (Bernama) -- The Ingate Global Insurance Conference and Exhibition, organised by the Saudi Insurance Authority from Nov 10-12 in Riyadh, drew nearly 9,000 visitors from around the world, highlighting the Kingdom's position as a leading hub for insurance innovation and international collaboration.

Held under the theme “Step into Tomorrow”, the conference featured over 150 local and international organisations and more than 100 global experts and speakers, offering insights on digital transformation, sustainability, and regulatory developments in the insurance sector.

In a statement issued from Riyadh on Thursday, Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Insurance Authority, Naji Al Tamimi, said that the conference created an international platform for knowledge exchange and professional development, reinforcing the sector's growth under the Kingdom's Vision 2030 framework.

The 15,000-square-metre exhibition provided an interactive platform for learning, showcasing the latest innovations and emerging technologies in the insurance industry.

Over the course of the event, 22 memoranda of understanding and cooperation were signed, aiming to advance the insurance system, strengthen digital innovation, improve service efficiency, and introduce licences for new insurance and brokerage firms.

Several digital initiatives were launched, including the Reg-Tech Hub platform, the Insurance Data Lake, and a digital maturity measurement project, all designed to enhance service delivery and beneficiary experience.

Meanwhile, General Superviser of the World Insurance Conference and Exhibition, Ahmed Saeed AlGhamdi, noted that the successful inaugural event sets the stage for the 2026 edition, promising wider participation and greater global impact.
