15/03/2026 04:53 PM

LOS ANGELES, March 15 (Bernama-dpa) -- Italy's Jannik Sinner swatted aside Alexander Zverev on Saturday to reach the Indian Wells final and a possible meeting with arch-rival Carlos Alcaraz, German Press Agency (dpa) reported.

World number two Sinner won 6-2, 6-4 in 1 hour 23 minutes as Germany's Zverev, ranked fourth, continues his struggles against the very best. Sinner has now beaten him 7 matches to 4.

Sinner is hoping to be just the third player to win all six ATP Masters 1,000 hard-court events in Sunday's final.

He has not dropped a set this year at Indian Wells – the unofficial fifth major – and is seeking a first title of the year.

Spain's world number one Alcaraz, faces Daniil Medvedev in the other semi later in the California desert.
