TAKAFUL IKHLAS LAUNCHES IKHLAS LESTARI PLAN TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT

KUALA LUMPUR, March 22 (Bernama) -- Takaful Ikhlas Family Berhad (Takaful IKHLAS), a subsidiary of MNRB Holdings Berhad, today launched the IKHLAS Lestari supplementary plan, aimed at providing opportunities for the public to contribute to community development in a sustainable and syariah-compliant manner.

Takaful IKHLAS president and chief executive officer Wan Ahmad Najib Wan Ahmad Lotfi said IKHLAS Lestari is part of the IKHLAS Barakah House (IBH) initiative, a syariah-compliant fundraising platform that supports Value-Based Intermediation for Takaful (VBiT).

“IKHLAS Lestari was introduced as an innovative solution to addressing social challenges and environmental issues, as well as promoting sustainable practices.

“With a contribution of as little as RM10 per month, the public can join Takaful IKHLAS and IBH to contribute towards ensuring inclusive and sustainable social development,” he said when met by reporters after launching the IKHLAS Lestari plan at IKHLAS Point, Bangsar, here, recently.

Also present were Takaful IKHLAS chairman Datuk Johar Che Mat, Takaful Ikhlas General Berhad president and chief executive officer Datuk Rudy Rodzila Che Lamin and National Cancer Council (MAKNA) Head of Service Division Imelda Suhanti Ishak.

Wan Ahmad Najib said funds collected through this plan will be channelled to five main areas, namely education, economy, community, health, and environment.

“By participating in IKHLAS Lestari, participants will be able to contribute to IBH and social sustainability initiatives in addition to enjoying takaful protection through the basic protection plan they participate in.

To boost IKHLAS Lestari promotional activities among the community, he said, the company also set up the Lestari Squad, comprising employees of Takaful IKHLAS and its agencies.

At the event, Takaful IKHLAS also presented a contribution of RM10,000 to MAKNA.
