KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 7 (Bernama) -- The National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) continues its commitment to assisting borrowers in repaying their loans by reintroducing the Lestari Pendidikan Campaign, offering a variety of restructuring options according to individual financial capacity.
PTPTN said in a statement that the campaign, which runs from Oct 15 to Dec 15, is open to all conventional and Ujrah borrowers with arrears of RM500 and above.
Borrowers participating in the campaign are required to pay an advance of 20 per cent of their total arrears or at least RM500, whichever is higher, before applying for repayment negotiation through the myPTPTN web application.
The Corporation said the initiative, guided by the #PTPTNBolehBincang concept, provides borrowers with the opportunity to restructure their repayment schedule according to their financial capacity.
“Borrowers can discuss or negotiate a flexible repayment plan, enabling them to restructure their loan repayments according to their financial capacity.
“PTPTN not only provides borrowers with the opportunity to restructure their financial commitments but also ensures the sustainability of loan funds, for the benefit of future generations,” the statement said.
In conjunction with the campaign, PTPTN is also holding Bulan Mesra Pelanggan at all state offices and branches nationwide from Nov 1 to Dec 15, offering various rewards to borrowers who make repayments.
Among the offers is a lucky draw for borrowers repaying RM500 or more, with total prizes of RM70,000 for 140 winners, along with special souvenirs for the first 20 customers to visit PTPTN counters for negotiation.
To facilitate customer transactions, PTPTN said counter operating hours at state offices and selected branches will be extended until 6 pm, with Saturdays open until 5 pm, from Dec 1 to 15, 2025.
PTPTN also encouraged borrowers to make repayments via salary deduction or direct debit while benefiting from incentives to restructure repayments based on their financial capacity.
