THUNDERSTORMS FORECAST ACROSS SABAH ON POLLING DAY

KOTA KINABALU, Nov 27 (Bernama) -- The weather in most areas of Sabah on Saturday - polling day for the 17th Sabah State Election - is forecast to experience thunderstorms.

According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia), rain is expected in several locations during the morning.

Thunderstorms are forecast in most inland areas in the afternoon, while rain is expected in several locations at night.

The maximum temperature throughout the day is expected to be 31 degrees Celsius, with a minimum of 21 degrees Celsius.

A total of 1.76 million voters will cast their ballots in the 17th Sabah State Election on Saturday, which is contesting 73 seats.

There will be 882 polling centres with 3,558 polling streams for the election.
