KUALA LUMPUR, March 5 (Bernama) -- Malaysians living near the United States (US) Embassy in Doha are advised to seek shelter elsewhere following a threat of an attack.
The Malaysian Embassy in Doha, Qatar said most recently it has been informed of the risk of an attack on the US Embassy in Al Rayyan, Doha.
“All Malaysians residing within a 1.5 kilometre radius from the embassy are advised to seek shelter elsewhere,” said a notice issued on the Malaysian Embassy in Doha Facebook page on Thursday.
According to the embassy, the situation in Qatar is fairly calm for now. However, all Malaysians are advised to stay vigilant.

According to the US Embassy in Qatar, the Qatar Ministry of Interior has announced that it is evacuating residents who live near the US Embassy in Doha as a temporary precautionary measure.
“Out of an abundance of caution, please avoid the immediate area of the US Embassy,” it posted on X on Thursday.
