MOTO3: HAKIM DANISH TO CARRY ON POSITIVE MOMENTUM FROM BARCELONA WHEN RIDING IN PORTUGAL GP

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 4 (Bernama) -- The country’s talented young rider Muhammad Hakim Danish Ramli is set to compete in the Moto3 challenge at the Grand Prix (GP) of Portugal from Nov 7-9 with positive momentum built from the FIM JuniorGP (JrGP) World Championship in Barcelona last week.

Hakim Danish said that achieving ninth place in Race 1 and sixth position in Race 2 in Barcelona has boosted his spirit to give his all in his second Moto3 appearance, after making his debut as a wildcard at the Malaysian GP last month.

"It (Barcelona) was an extraordinary step for me, and I am focused on learning as much as possible while delivering the best performance on the track. I will work closely with the team and crew to ensure we are fully prepared and competitive," he said in a statement today.

The 18-year-old rider has been given the opportunity to appear in the final two Moto3 rounds of this season - the Portuguese GP followed by the Valencia GP (Nov 14-16) - representing FRINSA MT Helmets MSI as a replacement for Japan's Ryusei Yamanaka, who was forced to end his campaign early this season.

Yamanaka was confirmed to have suffered an injury to his left little finger that requires surgery, thus paving the way for the rider from Terengganu to gain valuable experience in the Moto3 competition before starting his full-season campaign with the MSI Racing Team next season.

Hakim Danish, who previously rode for AEON CREDIT SIC Racing MSI, failed to finish the Moto3 race due to technical issues at the 2025 Malaysian GP that was held at the Sepang International Circuit on Oct 26.
