KUANTAN, Oct 25 (Bernama) -- The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, and Tengku Ampuan Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, have extended their heartfelt congratulations to Major Mohd Fikry Amri Abd Halim and Sabrina Hakiem Zaini on the birth of their triplets.
In a post on the Kesultanan Pahang Facebook page today, Their Royal Highnesses expressed their immense joy and gratitude for the safe arrival of Maryam Al Lubna (9.40 am), Maryam Al Khawla (9.42 am), and Maryam Al Arwaa (9.46 am) at Hospital Melaka yesterday.
The post also noted that the triplets are the 145th, 146th, and 147th babies born through the Tunku Azizah Fertility Foundation (TAFF) since its establishment in 2004.
Their Highnesses offered their prayers for the babies’ health and well-being, wishing them a future filled with love and care from their parents and loved ones.
The post further highlighted that Tunku Azizah, who is also TAFF founder and lifetime chairman, had personally extended the offer of free in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) treatment to the couple in January, following the tragic loss of their infant son due to caregiver negligence at a daycare in Melaka.
“The tragedy, which deeply moved the Malaysian public, involved the loss of their 8-month-old son after a long 13-year wait to have a child,” read the post.
Since its inception 21 years ago, TAFF, founded by Tengku Ampuan Pahang, has assisted 553 couples nationwide who have faced challenges in conceiving.
