KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 24 (Bernama) -- Malaysia secured two historic bronze medals in teqball at the 2025 Asian Youth Games in Bahrain - the first-ever official medals contributed by the Malaysia Teqball Association (MTA) since its formation in 2018.
The statement said this marked a milestone moment for the sport in the country, with MTA president Sivakumar Jakarathan hoping for more support from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, National Sports Council and potential sponsors to grow the sport and develop more medal-winning athletes internationally.
“With proper support, we can expand our athlete development programmes and prepare a strong squad for the 2025 Bangkok SEA Games in December and the 2027 SEA Games in Malaysia,” he said.
